Tara I think that's an accurate representation of the entire fandom XD; Time being, I can't see any shipwars come up - poor Safu is barking up the wrong tree, methinks - so pretty much everyone is all YEAH NEZUSHI and chill. So far I really love this fandom <3

^ Actually there are some fanwars surrounding Safu that I've seen pop up on tumblr occasionally. Apparently she's got a pretty strong hatedom because many fans think she harshes the squee over Nezumi and Shion, and as fanbrats are wont to do they bash her a lot. They claim she's manipulative, a bitch, that she cares about herself and is cruel to Shion (but these same people are cool with Nezumi being a dick to him, which sets off the other side of the war) and generally hate her for existing. Ah, fandumb. It's not a massive fanwar though. As far as I've seen, the wank has been kind of brushed to the corners and most fans are all, "*shrug* Think whatever you want, bro. I'm busy flailing." That attitude has a way of dampening fanbrats' fires. >3 And that makes me very happy with this fandom. All the gorgeous artwork it keeps turning out also makes me like it A LOT. <33

Personally, I like Safu a lot. I feel like we haven't gotten to know much about her, but she's a loyal friend to Shion and I don't think she's manipulative. (The fact that she was kind of a jerk about him not wanting to sleep with her just says to me that back then she didn't understand love, and was trying to express herself in terms of lust, which at least has a scientific basis that she would understand. As we see, she comes to realize there's more to love than that.) And I feel like if she truly loves him the way she says, if she sees that he's happy with someone else she would be mature enough to let him go. But I also feel like she and Shion would stay best friends, because friendship is nice. <3

I do worry a little that the show will decide to troll us all and pair up Safu/Shion, which, as much as I like Safu, would annoy me. Nezushi is kind of obviously canon, okay. xD And it's cute and adorable and heartwrenching and like Crow, that couple sort of hits all the "what makes a couple my OTP" points on my checklist. So I love them. And I will be angry if the producers decide to go the Safu/Shion route just to be "safe" rather than stick with teh gay. (Although I feel like it might be a little too late for that. xDDD) Partly because I know if they DID do that, Safu would suddenly have 489561745169487 new haters who would bash her and that would make me mad. =|

My rambling feelings at 8:00 in the morning, let me tell you about them.

I feel like Safu is asexual in a way, just because she's too scientific and logical. The way she propositioned Shion was kind of unfeeling, like she figured it was something they should just be obliged to do for the sake of human progression. XD

Yeah. Safu exists, has a uterus, and likes one of the male leads, therefore she is PURE EVIL. I woulda been very surprised (pleasantly so, but still) if she didn't have a hatedom. I guess I'm just happy that everyone pretty much ships the same thing ^^; But yeah even with the mini-fanwar, the fandom is mostly chill, which I love. Safu is the shit, haters to the left. I'm too busy rolling in homosexuality to get involved in drama

I think at this point I'm more worried about character death than anything else ;_; Part of me is really tempted to find the novels and read them, but part of me wants to wait until the anime is finished...I AM SO SCARED OF A SAD ENDING YOU GUYS. Does anyone know how many episodes are left?

When free time is something I have again I need to write up my "What Makes A CrowTP" list, just to show you how perfect these two are for me XD; I just really really hope they don't fulfill the "tragic self-sacrificial ending" part D:

okay so Sion talking about him and Nezumi and Safu and Karan all living together in Nezumi's little ratcave = INSTANT CROW HEADCANON. No matter what happens in the series end, this is what I'm going to believe. WHO'S WITH ME? >

Karan is a BAMF and I want to know more about her backstory and her involvement in the creation of No. 6 NOW.

Sion rescuing the baby + Nezumi's face as he does so despite Nezumi's protests = HNNNNNNG MY HEARTSTRINGS HOLY SHIT I'M IN TEARS. Sion is such a good person, and Nezumi never stops being amazed by it. "Humans are willing to help each other. That's what you taught me."

DON'T MIND ME AS I CRY IN THE CORNER.

and yet again I learn to not watch this show before bed. Holy SHIT this is getting dark - it was dark to begin with, but random tank massacre holy fuck. When the trucks full of people started just dumping them like trash - fuck. And Nezumi holding on to Sion under his cloak to protect him ;~; "I don't want you to change, Sion." BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Nezumi's eyes at the end of the episode, all steely and dangerous - he's been to that place before, it's gotta be hell to have to go back. I really really really want to learn more about Nezumi's backstory and I think we might next episode - if he was in that place as a kid, they're bound to tell us more about kiddo Nezumi, right? Little!Nezumi is so precious, I just want to hug him and protect him and tell him it will be all right T_T

^ I'M TERRIFIED OF CHARACTER DEATH TOO. From the first time I heard about the series I was afraid to become a fan because I feared it would end with one or both of them dying. THE PREVIEW FOR EPISODE 10 IS NOT EXACTLY HELPING MY FEAR.

OH GOD. EPISODE 9. ;A;

The beginning of this episode made me feel like Dogkeeper might have been raped at some point. I just...I know it's the cliche conclusion to jump to, but with how he/she hides his/her gender constantly and reacts so drastically, I can't help thinking there could be some past trauma there.

I legit got teary-eyed when Nezumi started singing because it was so sad and awful and yet the singing made people smile at least a little for a moment and uwaaaaaa.

I've learned not to watch No. 6 at night, thank goodness. It's too hardcore. Random tank massacre. DDDD= But I love how Nezumi never stops being amazed by Shion's goodness. That's the sort of thing he needs in his life, someone to keep reminding him there's light in people and that they're not all evil. On that note: "I don't want you to change" and constantly protecting Shion with his cloak = me alternately wibbling and squealing.

They freaking have to tell us about Nezumi's backstory at some point. I mean, we can piece together some of it, but there are too many holes. >( I want to know moarrrrrrrrr. It's a safe bet that whatever happened to him in there is the reason why he is the way he is now, so he's probably terrified of not only going back, but taking Shion in with him and risking Shion becoming jaded like he is. ...I have a Thing for characters with traumatic childhoods.

Is it just me, or was Safu possessed by Elyurias near the end there?
