Those of you following me on Tumblr have seen my spam for this anime. BUT WHAT IS IT? For those who don't know, No. 6 is a studio BONES anime with eight episodes and counting, based off of a novel series. It's a sci-fi taking place in a dystopian future with a Big Brother government and BEEEEEEEEES. (Note: do not watch No. 6 before bed, you will have weird bee-themed nightmares.)

Also gay. Lots and lots and lots of gay. I'm not kidding. The two main characters, Sion and Nezumi, are sixteen-year-old guys and wonderfully gay together. I'm really, really not kidding. There's hand-holding, hair-stroking, slow dancing, crossdressing, and the two of them bicker like an old married couple, PLUS MORE but I will refrain from spoiling :I

dude when you're caught up on episodes remind me to link you to a tumblr about what the BONES staff for this show do all day. It's a joke comic, not about the real staff, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was accurate XD;

I really gotta check to see if any of the staff from FMA1 got involved in this...that would explain SO MUCH...

INORITE. But I'm pretty sure after episode 7 you can call this legit shonen-ai...I'm just afraid it will end in tears. If it ends in tears, I will be crying for a long time. I will cry so much that it will make a river, and I will christen that river DeNial.

I like Safu! She's hilariously awkward! XD But I will be pissed if, after all this setup, Sion ends up with her instead of Nezumi :I He likes her as a friend, he even says so!

Safu's great! But I mean, that would be weird. Sion rejected her twice so far. XD When she kissed him when they were twelve he was completely oblivious ("Why are you doing what my mom does, derp?") and he's just kind of "meh" about having sex with a perfectly willing female! He's so gay. He just doesn't realize it.

First seven episodes I was just like, "Cool beans, what's gonna happen? Are they just gonna live in solitude growing steadily more fond for the other? <3 ZOMG, SION KISSED HIM D'AAAAAW. Wait, you're leaving?! PLOT TWISTS ABOUNDING!? Oooh, the mythos is getting more intense! Magical things are happening! All of this relatively realistic exposition is heading into science-fiction-fantasy territory! Brilliant! MOAR KISSING PLZ"

There's so much I don't know that I'm dying to figure out. Like, what's so special about Safu that they're using her as a "sample"? What's with the bees? I think Sion's mom knows way more than she's letting on. And also, I'm not sure what Dogkeeper's gender is, because everyone keeps referring to them as a "him" and I swear on my life she's a girl. 8( Teh fuck.

I will be SO pissed if Sion ends up with Safu. COME ON, BONES. YOU KNOW YOU WANT SION AND NEZUMI TOGETHER. Just like you wanted Roy and Ed together!

Also go read the rest of the comics, start by scrolling all the way down to get to the first one. But anyway not even gonna lie, throughout the entirety of episode seven I was shouting "KISS! KISS!" at my computer, even after it happened XD;

I DON'T THINK ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT DOGKEEPER I initially thought Dogkeeper was a she and that's what I still go with...I didn't get confused until I saw that everyone else was XD Then again when I first watched FMA1 I had to go to Wikipedia to see if Envy was a dude or a chick because I seriously couldn't tell, after four episodes or so of him appearing. Doesn't help that I watched the Japanese version, where his voice actress has a splendidly androgynous voice for him.

THEORIES AND STUFF:

Elyurias is QUEEN OF THE BEES. The forest people worshipped BEES. Remember when Nezumi passed out on stage and had that trippy dream sequence with the bees singing to him? Or at least with bees flying around while the wind or whatever sings to him?

With Safu - she doesn't have surviving parents. What if she was also descended from the forest people and just doesn't know it, and that's why she can hear the wind-voice-dealio?

Still not sure with the sample part. Maybe they're trying to recreate Elyurias?

THE MOONDROP THINGY IN NO. 6 - Puzzle and I are convinced that it is a HIVE of some sort. I mean all those honeycomb shapes in the OP and on the Moondrop and around No. 6 in general? BEES. City is run by BEES. Or based off of BEE POWER. I don't even know, because I also think that maybe the BEES were sent by Elyurias as payment for burning down the forest and shit, and that's why they only go after people inside No. 6...

AGAIN, IF SAD ENDING, CRY RIVER, NAME RIVER DENIAL. YOU WILL HELP Y/Y

srsly these two match so many traits of my OTP checklist it's ridiculous. Get back to me on that when it's not ass o clock in the morning andI will tell you all about it because I am sure you all want to know.
