I've always wondered why Voldy never tapped that ass. Because Voldemort's too busy getting down with his snake.

YOU GUYS SHOULD PROBABLY START UP AN HP FORUM. xP Now, having read that page...er, yeah. That was embarassing. Imean, I'm a Harmony shipper, I think it's cute and all, and I'm still insulted if someone calls me delusional but I'm not going to 'spend my life obsessing over the love lives of a bunch of fictional people.' Please don't go around thinking that we're all like that. ^^;; This is why I like the FMA fandom so much better. We respect one another and our different views. There's no shipwars. That's why I left in the first place.

^ I'd only say you're delusional if you're convinced that JKR was just: trolling HHr shippers/completely WRONG/possessed by demons/whatever. If you can enjoy the ship without it being canon, congratulations! YOU AREN'T DELUSIONAL! :D
Also, PFFFFFFFFFT, dude, FMA fandom is INFAMOUS for being wankeriffic. Manga vs. anime! Sub vs. dub! RoyEd vs. Royai and EdWin! Everyone else vs. Elricest! Everyone else vs. HeiEd! (Except nothing actually happened, in this case. In the words of an old-timer: "People dramaed at them, but they didn't drama back.") Pro-Shamballa vs Anti-Shamballa! Know that most of the drama occurred when the first anime was first produced and dubbed. I wasn't in the fandom yet, but I've heard plenty of horror stories. There was actually a several thousand comment flamewar on the main community over what color Roy's eyes were (because it inevitably got into manga vs. anime, due to a claim that Roy's eye color was inconsistent in the anime. But still. Roy's fucking eye color. I admit, after chapter 102 part of me was saying LOL MOOT POINT NOW.)
A lot of the whiny people were gone by the time I hopped the fandom bus in late 2007, but the hardcore Royai shippers were (and still are) pricks, eerily similar to the prick camp of the HHr ship. Aaaaaand then with Brohood it started up again, with a whole new dimension of fuckery: Manga purists who liked Brohood vs. manga purists who hated it vs. first anime fans who hated both vs. first anime fans who hated Brohood but didn't mind the manga (but liked the anime more) vs. fans who liked the manga and first anime equally who hated Brohood vs. fans who liked the manga and first anime equally but loved Brohood.
AND THEN DUBS HAPPENED, and I'm not even going to bother writing all that again with that added variable, but some dubbies liked the old dub better and some liked the new dub more and everything else and aaargh. Not even touching the ongoing shipwars and those who liked the manga ending vs. those who didn't, and how that tied in to the whole first anime vs. manga debate which also stirred up shipwar shit.
Da~mn, lemme tell you I am SO GLAD I hang out in the least wankiest corners and got to miss most of this shitfest. And it's also why I don't let that shit fly here - I don't put up with that sorta behavior from my first graders and I ain't gonna put up with it when it's coming from a bunch of internet strangers. No thanks.
THIS IS WHY YOU ALL ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE YOU ALL LONG TIME <333333
/lol offtopic rant. Fandom history is FUN! And, THE MOAR YOU KNOW <3

^ Yes, Crow's unfortunately right about that. >.> I don't go on the main FMA forums, because it's full of canon purists who shoot you down if you happen to ship something that "disses the characters," hint hint, nudge nudge.

^ Agreed. This is why I'm actually not that involved with the fandom of ANY of my fandoms. I mean, running this club/forum is the most involved in a fandom I've ever gotten. (Unless you count stalking Lynn Flewelling's Livejournal. =B) So much wank. =| Normally I just hang out on the fringe of stuff.

^ Same. I actually like you guys! I did venture on Kingdom Hearts boards sometimes, but they were a LOT more open to non-canon pairings than the FMA fandom (then again, you can argue pretty well for slash pairings in that fandom. That game is so flaming gay is should come with a fire extinguisher).

Well...I like you guys, in any case. xP I hang out here and on fanfiction, and that's about it. Actually, this one and another Wicked forum are the only boards I'm ever on, not counting the stuff I do for roleplay. Smaller the fandom is, less hostile it is, or something. Anime fandoms in general tend to be a little scary, which is probably why I stick to fanfiction and not much else. ^^;;;

Well, the LJ FMA fandom, or at least the parts I hang out in, are way they hell less wanky than they were in the time of the first anime. No shipwars, minimal stupidity, and when there is an Issue it doesn't explode anymore. Like, a lot of the first anime fans have drifted away, and inevitably the first anime gets shit talked about it by the manga purists who make up a large part of the fanbase now and the remaining anime1 fans get (rightfully) pissy, but nothing much comes of it. No flamewars over fucking eye colors.
For the most part, though, I really really love the LJ fandom. Great writers, great artists, great people. If you're going to jump into the fandom, I suggest doin' it there. (I can rec comms for anyone interested! This sounds like a commercial! I swear I'm not a cleverly disguised spambot! :D)
Sometimes I wonder why I chose Danny Phantom to be the first fandom I was actively involved in. Tara, you would LOOOOOOVE the "True Fans" and their "keep the beloved characters pure~" shenanigans, I'm sure of it. They were like the Westboro Baptist Church group of the fandom: offensive, immune to logic, and so completely ridiculous that they appear more a parody than anything else. At least the WBC peeps have the gonads to admit that they're homophobic douchewipes. These assholes had the run of the main forums and a good amount of influence over the fandom as a whole. For extra fun, I became involved in that fandom at the same time I was beginning to discover that I was straight as a banana. Awesome show. Terrible fandom. /nostalgic wangst for wank of days past
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING ACTUALLY ON TOPIC SORRY FOR DERAILING U GUYS: Scott Pilgrim. I said it before when Tara mentioned it and I will say it again: Scott Pilgrim. FUCKING WATCH IT. I went to the midnight showing and the entire room was packed full of geeks. Laughed so hard it hurt and I wondered if I had worms in my lungs. ANYONE WHO HAS SEEN IT: DISCUSS.
Michael Cera is my hero. Also Wallace is best ever.

I LOVED SCOTT PILGRIM. My brain exploded. It had everything I love: hot Asian girls (and her name is Knives, I mean how cool is that?!), gay guys, bromance, epic battle sequences, tofu power, video game references, the bad guys turn into money when they're killed. It's amazing. XD I can't wait for Christmas, I really want it on DVD. It's like my favorite movie EVER. Also, Ramona looks, sounds, and acts JUST like my ex-girlfriend. It's wild. The whole time she was on screen I was distracted. It made me sad. And giddy. And I annoyed the crap out of my friend Sarah because I kept saying things like, "OMFG IT'S ME EX " in the middle of a fight scene. XD

^ DUDE. Have you read the comics? It's been ages, but I read something like the first four and always intended to finish but never got around to it >_> Anyway, they are also rather awesome and you should read them if you have not.
So I went in knowing what to expect - I'd been looking forward to the whole shebang all year - and I was still just blown away. It felt like the comic plastered onto the screen and set in motion and it actually worked. The fact that it bombed in the box office shows that the future of good storytelling is fucked T_____________T
alsoalsoalso I forgot that I have a fifty dollar check I gotta cash! I live forty miles away from a bank, so ah, I don't go there often, thus explaining how I could forget I had fifty dollars. But I'll be going into Twilightville on Friday anyway for a service project so I can cash the thing and BUY ME SOME SCOTT PILGRIM DVD YEAH.
THIS IS AMAZING AND TEN DIFFERENT FLAVORS OF BITTERSWEET AWESOME. I hope you had no encounters with evil exes when you and your ex were canon? (And if you did, you totally gotta teach me that turning-bad-guys-into-money trick.) That's sad and somehow adorable all at once and orz foot in mouth here probably, sorry I fail at conversation <333333
ALSO Envy Adams. You know where I'm going with this.

^ I has not seen Scott Pilgrim yet. :< A friend was willing to go see it with me, but by the time he got around to being all "oh lol want to see a movie?" it wasn't showing anymore. I'll have to rent it I guess.
