Seriously...I had no idea it was possible for a story to be so stupid, so clever and so imaginative at the same time, and I WANT to roll my eyes and scoff at how absurd and overrated Homestuck is, but I...I just...

Can't. >.<

So of course, I HAD to go and make a vidlet for it. (Even if you don't know Homestuck, I tried to make it pretty enough for non-Homestuckers to enjoy too, lol.)



If you guys haven't heard what Homestuck is yet, it's basically...LOTS of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey...stuff. (Imagine Steven Moffat with the maturity of a 12-year-old and lots of language, and you'll get an idea.) It's NOT your typical webcomic at all; it's like...a puzzle, a story and an interactive game thingy all at the same time.

It's the story of four 13-year-old internet buddies - John, Rose, Dave and Jade - who play a game that can alter reality and ultimately create universes. What they don't realize is that the game is really playing THEM. Soon they become entangled in an endless, doomed, complicated cycle of apocalypses, and it's up to them - and a cantankerous race of alien "trolls" they encounter - to figure out how to beat it and save their universes.

That way, when it gets boring and stupid, you can remember, "It's going to get really epic, but I won't understand WHY unless I get through this stuff first!" That's what I did. XD

See, that's the frustrating, yet brilliant thing about this webcomic...nothing is quite what it seems. EVERYTHING seems completely random and pointless until later on, when the puzzle pieces finally come together. Then all the stupid stuff comes back and hits you smack in the face. Hard.

YES. I STILL CAN'T REALLY BELIEVE I'VE FALLEN INTO THIS FANDOM BUT YES. I AM ONE OF YOU. All these MIRACLES, man. THEY KEEP HAPPENING.

And believe it or not, my younger sister has recently gotten into it too. A few weeks ago she saw my Homestuck vidlet and promptly demanded that I show her where all the footage came from, and THEN pleaded that I let her read Homestuck herself.

So, happily but carefully, I've been guiding her through it; and now it's kind of become our "thing". And it's been awesome. We've always had a pretty rocky relationship, but I feel like we've finally found something for just us to have fun with. No fighting, no awkwardness...just fun. And frankly...as crazy and stupid as it sounds...Homestuck has literally been an answer to prayer.

Never thought God would use a stupid webcomic peppered with f-bombs to calm down our sibling rivalry, but lo and behold... XD

So in honor of us both jumping on the Homestuck bandwagon, we initially decided that we would get each other Homestuck hero t-shirts for Christmas. I'd get her the Space one, and she'd get me the Breath one. But they were all out of stock when I tried to order hers. Go figure. SO, this was my plan B...another video!! =D



We both love the four kids to death (no pun intended, lolz) and we both agree that Karkat's shipping diagram NEEDS to happen, and this song fits both couples so perfectly (and Tangled is so awesome and I'll jump at any excuse to use something related to it), and oh yeah JOHN/ROSE NEEDS MORE LOVE GUYS. SERIOUSLY. WHY IS THIS ADORABLE PAIRING NOT GETTING MORE ATTENTION. FANDOM WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. /rant

^NEVER EVER EVER LET THE FANDOM SCARE YOU OFF. SOME OF THEM ARE INSANE BUT THEN YOU'VE GOT THE AWESOME PEOPLE. IT'S LIKE ANY OTHER FANDOM.

xD; I got my siblings into it too. Now we scare the hell out of each other by popping up out of no where and going "honk". Or warning each other about the stairs. Or fantasizing about our own Sburb session (guess who's the Seer of Space/Time >w>). But anyway, that's GREAT! Reminds me of what happened with my sister and MLP.

Oh hey, you too? I tried getting my sis Jade's God Tier hoodie. But they were sold out. D: I got my brother Dave's shirt, though. I swear, he's like a mini-Dave. In fact, for about a week I wouldn't stop calling him Dave/John until he started reading it.

FANDOM LOVES IT TROLL/KID PAIRINGS IS WHAT'S WRONG. thought seriously I ship everything but Karkat's Shipping Chart (that is what I call this ship AND I WILL GO DOWN WITH IT) will forever be my joint OTPs, cracky blackrom crossover-with-Kingdom-Hearts pairs notwithstanding.
